Steps Ahead Dance COVID-19 Safety Plan Update

As the Government of BC recently introduced a new “safe schools” plan for the province and school districts on August 24, Steps Ahead Dance has adapted and updated our COVID-19 Mitigation Plan in response.

Please be assured that all of us at Steps Ahead Dance are doing everything we can to remain proactive while anticipating how to alleviate the risk of any of our students and staff or their families from becoming ill. It is our own responsibility to keep ourselves healthy while considering the health of those around us. Each of our faculty members have been fully vaccinated and will continue to wear masks while teaching.

Hand sanitizing, temperature checks along with enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols are things we continue to practice on a daily basis. Air filtration units are maintained and cleaned routinely.

We trust that your dancer will continue to be vigilant with hand washing, social distancing and will continue to wear a mask/face shield while in the building. Any exceptions to this mask policy should be discussed directly with the Principal / Artistic Director and not with the teaching faculty.

Our goals are to keep everyone healthy, keep our doors open and teach as many dancers as possible! As, we all strive to return to an unhindered learning environment, we are constantly reviewing and updating our mitigation plan with everyone’s safety of paramount importance.
