On Monday, October 15th, I attended an audition for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet –I later found out– I was accepted into their Aspirant Program. The audition, which had two of the company’s faculty watching (Bruce Monk-Junior Boys Teacher….And Marla Aronovitch- The Dean of Residence), went smoother than I had anticipated. For me, the worst part was when they wanted to examine our splits! Afterwards, parents were invited into the studio to sit in on our master class. I found it to be an amazing experience, being taught by a teacher whose job is to perfect male ballet dancers! The RWB faculty has an fantastic and friendly atmosphere, and I look forward to dancing with them in the 2013 Summer Intensive.
